Her classroom is a forest outside Baden. Thirty children between the ages of 4 and 8 learn for life here in sunshine and bad weather. They explore the forest on their own, experience the cycle of nature and look for their role in the community. They learn to read, write and count along the way.
For a year, the director immerses herself in the world of the forest school and its children. They tell of a world that helps them develop personal responsibility, courage and creativity.
"Today," says director Natlie Pfister, "children spend less and less time outdoors. Is something being lost? And is there perhaps even such a thing as a human need for a relationship with nature?"
